Data center lighting is not a critical function of your facility. However, it can affect your data center PUE.

PUE should be automated. It should be such a technology that it does not provide any risk to your facility operation, fire danger, or need for constant maintenance. There are also aesthetic qualities that lighting can add to your data center to feature certain characteristics. The proper lighting plan can provide an end user touring your site with the “IT” factor in their decision.

FGCC has helped design custom lighting solutions for all uses of data center environments. Offsetting colors, efficient lighting, low risk technology are all features to look at.

Switch-glass panels are a unique feature to any site. This can provide privacy for any switch-glass wall and convert to an open see through environment via a light switch. Operated by gases internal to the glass system a switch-glass system will cloud up, and clear upon switching.

FGCC also provides facility wide lighting plans for industry which can convert old inefficient lighting systems to new technology. A conversion of old incandescent to new LED will provide a substantial operational savings. This will show immediate results.

Factories, Automation, chipmakers, and all industrial users should be looking at their lighting op ex and making conversion decisions to be as efficient as possible. Capital leasing programs are available for these solutions.
