Harrah’s Gulf Coast Hotel & Casino (Biloxi, MS) – The casino industry is another prime example, showing the importance of standby power and uninterruptable power systems. One can only imagine the chaos and profit-losses if a large casino were to suddenly go completely dark on a busy Friday night. This makes backup UPSs and generators a must for every casino. For these facilities, equipment maintenance windows and equipment replacement windows are not always easy to come by and when they are, coordination is key.
This was the case for a generator replacement project in Biloxi, where an existing 1500kW generator sitting on the 3rd story of a parking garage was replaced, started, and tested all in a short 48-hour window. Additionally, and within the same 48-hour window, the 1500kW generator that was removed had been swung over to replace a different 1500kW non-operational generator. To say the least, there were a lot of moving pieces during this project. At the end of the 2 day period, both the new 1500kW generator and the relocated 1500kW generator were successfully tested. This is a great example of how our team of on-site project managers and internal project coordinators are experienced in high-pressure scenarios and will do what it takes to deliver a successful project outcome to our customers.
