Many antiquated Electrical and Mechanical Data Center systems require attention to detail while removal is in process.

Customers rely on FGC Construction to disconnect and remove old equipment such as generators, UPS, Battery Systems, PDU, HVAC, and Raised Flooring. All Electrical and Mechanical plumbing surrounding these systems must also be properly identified and removed by a licensed professional.

Removal of Critical Data Center Equipment by inexperienced or non-licensed professionals can be a dangerous activity and create much liability. Our team can identify those systems such as the electrical and mechanical systems that need to be dis-assembled in certain ways. Many times the data center electrical power distribution is connected to the rest of the building electrical system. If you do not have licensed professionals with a proper plan this can create a dangerous fire situation during decomm or in the future.

A proper data center decommissioning project will complete with the Project Manager taking your through the facility and showing detail of where systems were capped, where power distribution has been disconnected to deadened. You do not want to just rip and strip things from a data center facility and assume what is left is safe.

If the project is data center equipment swap out, FGCC can oversee the installation of new generator, UPS, HVAC, PDU, and all other electrical and mechanical systems. The coordination of new equipment cutover, plan for removal and installation with lowest impact on loads and the facility is something FGC Construction team specializes in.

FGC Construction is an experienced team that is used to working in live mission critical facilities and understand the proper procedures for decommissioning specific areas of a facility, or even the entire footprint. We ensure all systems are strategically removed to ensure a safe, clean and efficient project.
